The event kicked off with welcome remarks by Carla Redondo, Secretary General of INCIBE, followed by an introduction from Ivan Scannapiecoro, Team Leader for Cyber Hubs at the ECCC, providing detailed insights into the open calls for proposals under the Digital Europe Programme, highlighting the EUR 102 million budget dedicated to various cybersecurity deployment activities, including Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and advanced key technologies.

Participants benefited from a comprehensive agenda, which also included presentations on:

  • Tips & Tricks for applying to the DEP calls by Daniela Bularda, Programme Officer at the ECCC.
  • DEP Projects in focus: IRIUSCOMMED by Juan Gomez-Acebo, Finance Manager at Irusrisk.
  • National Coordination Centres in Focus: Miguel Ángel Cañada, Head of National Coordination Centre (NCC-ES).

One of the key highlights of the event was the pitching session, where companies and organisations with projects related to the open call topics had the opportunity to present their ideas directly to the decision-makers responsible for allocating EU funds. This unique opportunity allowed participants to showcase their proposals to Joanna Świątkowska, Deputy Secretary General at the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO).

Alongside the presentations and project pitches, attendees were able to network and participate in one-on-one discussions during the coffee break. These interactions encouraged collaboration and facilitated meaningful connections within the European cybersecurity community.

The ECCC Info Day functioned not just as an informational gathering but as a collaborative forum aimed at promoting cybersecurity initiatives across Europe. The event highlighted the importance of funding opportunities in Europe strengthening cybersecurity measures and supporting innovative projects.
