Call for Expressions of Interest

Introduction

National and cross-border Security Operations Centres (SOCs) are a result of the EU Cyber Solidarity Act, to be adopted and published in the Official Journal in autumn 2024. The Cyber Solidarity Act plans the establishment of the European Cybersecurity Alert System to improve the detection, analysis and response to cyber threats. This system will be composed of national and cross-border Security Operations Centres (SOCs) across the EU, who will use advanced technology such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and data analytics to detect and share warnings on threats with authorities across borders. The National SOCs/ Cross-border SOCs are also referred to as National/ Cross-Border Cyber Hubs.

The European Cyber Solidarity Alert System is funded under the Strategic Objective 3 “Cybersecurity” of the Digital Europe Programme, managed by the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC).

The funding mechanism includes two interrelated calls: a call for expression of interest and a call for proposals. Each applicant will have to submit an application to both workstreams.

Below you will find information on the call for expression of interest. For details about the call for proposals, please access the Funding & Tender Portal
