Sweden's vital services are undergoing an advanced digital transformation. But information- and cybersecurity efforts are lagging behind, leaving society increasingly vulnerable to cyber incidents. At the same time, we have grown reliant on non-European cybersecurity providers and the cybersecurity skills gap in Sweden has increased. This calls for empowering cybersecurity research and innovation as well as investments in skills development in this field.
Therefore the Swedish National Coordination Centre for cybersecurity research and innovation (NCC-SE) will enable EU funding for financial support. Swedish research institutes, companies and public authorities can apply for these EU funds for cybersecurity research and innovation projects.
NCC-SE will help promote EU initiatives in Sweden, establish contacts between actors in the sector and provide guidance on EU calls. This will enable Sweden to participate in and benefit from EU-funded cybersecurity programmes.
