The European Cybersecurity Community (ECCO) project Community Group dedicated to start-ups, scale-ups, and SMEs has launched a survey to understand and address the challenges faced by cybersecurity founders operating in the European Market. The survey targets cybersecurity start-ups, scale-ups, and SMEs in Europe.

The aim of the survey is to delve deep into the challenges encountered by founder operating in the European (EU/EFTA) cybersecurity market, reaching out to European cybersecurity innovators. By collecting data directly from the entrepreneurs themselves, the ECCO team hopes to confirm or refute the identified challenges.

The key identified obstacles that have been identified as impeding the growth of the European cybersecurity landscape are:

  1. Scaling and internationalisation hurdles;
  2. Limited access to financial capital;
  3. Challenges in accessing markets and growing customer base.

The goal of the survey is to better understand the industry’s concerns and tap into their expertise, crafting tailored recommendations for EU Member States, enhancing their support for cybersecurity ecosystems. The gathered insights will ultimately help shape the strategies of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC).

You can find the survey here, it will run until 9 June 2024.
