Bucharest, Romania – On June 7 2023 the network of National Cybersecurity Competences Centers (NCCs) holds a networking Day, followed on 8-9 June by the 6th meeting of the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) Governing Board, both at the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, Romania.
The meeting of NCCs will bring together representatives from EU member States, European Commission and the EU agency for Cybersecurity-ENISA. They will discuss about NCCs role and collaboration, including support to the European cybersecurity community, opportunities under the Horizon Europe and DIGITAL Europe funding programs, financial support to third parties, or cyber skills.
Furthermore, the ECCC Governing Board meets on 8-9 June, officially for the 6th time, with new members from Norway and Iceland. The Governing Board will discuss amongst other issues about results and plans of the Horizon Europe and DIGITAL Europe funding programs, ECCC Single Programming Document or progress on the establishment of ECCC operations. Moreover, the Governing Board will visit the ECCC premises recently inaugurated and will meet with ECCC staff working there.
Background
The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) aims to increase Europe’s cybersecurity capacities, innovation and competitiveness. For this, it manages EU funding and works with a Network of National Coordination Centres (NCCs) and the Cybersecurity Community across the EU.
The ECCC recently adopted an agenda for strategic investment on cybersecurity, opened new calls for proposals under the DIGITAL Europe program, and published job opportunities.
