Spanish NCC launches NCC Workshop on Cybersecurity in the Spanish Presidency

The Spanish NCC is launching an NCC workshop on cybersecurity in the Spanish Presidency to anticipate the impact of EU legislative priorities on SMEs.

The Spanish National Coordination Centre (NCC) is launching an NCC workshop on “Cybersecurty in the Spanish Presidency.” The workshop will take place on 13 July in León, Spain. The European NCC Network and relevant stakeholders are welcome to attend.

The workshop will anticipate the impact of cybersecurity EU legislative priorities (especially among SMEs) with the ECCC’s involvement in the implementation of specific policies (NIS2, Cyber Resilience Act, European Certification Schemes). Expected results include funding opportunities for cyber legislation implementation and adoption, with a special focus on SMEs (i.e., serve as a basis for the draft of future I+D funding opportunities – DEP, HE, and other programs) and identifying R&D priorities, gaps, and opportunities and best practices to enhance cyber capacity building among SMEs (key inputs for the implementation of the ECCC Strategic Agenda).

Details on the exact timing and agenda will follow soon, but attendees can be prepared for a morning and afternoon session, with a cocktail dinner at the end and plenty of networking opportunities with Cybersecurity Summer BootCamp participants. The event is a high point of the Cybersecurity Summer BootCamp, an annual international two-week training event on cybersecurity. The BootCamp brings together global experts from more than 20 countries from various cybersecurity sectors, including legal, law enforcement, policy-making, and response teams.
