Meeting of the Platform for Research and Development in Cyber and Information Security to Be Held in Brno in Cooperation with NCC-CZ

Meeting of the Platform for Research and Development in Cyber and Information Security to Be Held in Brno in Cooperation with NCC-CZ

On November 26, 2024, the members of the Platform for Research and Development in Cyber and Information Security will meet at the JIC Innovation Park (Purkyňova 649/127, Brno). This meeting, organized in collaboration with the Czech National Coordination Centre (NCC-CZ), will focus on the central theme: Transitioning from Prototype to Practice: Ensuring the Viability of Cybersecurity Research and Development Outcomes.

The event will provide a platform for discussing how research results can effectively transition into practical applications, fostering innovation and strengthening the national and European cybersecurity ecosystem. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in coordinated networking session led by JIC, aimed at deepening connections among members of the Czech national research ecosystem.

Highlights of the program include the presentation of outcomes from the first NCC-CZ call for project proposals, launched in summer 2024. This session will be complemented by a presentation from Florina Munteanu, representing the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), who will share insights into current calls under the Digital Europe Programme, including best practices and recommendations for successful project proposals.

Updates on the Horizon Europe programme will also be featured, alongside the introduction of the Platform’s new identity as CYRIS (Cyber Research and Innovations in Security group). A dedicated business block will showcase success stories and host a panel discussion, providing a practical perspective on achieving real-world impact from cybersecurity innovations.

This event promises to be an engaging forum for public, private, and academic stakeholders to share knowledge, explore cross-border collaboration opportunities, and identify funding possibilities for future projects.
