The European Commission is presenting the fifth round of the DIGITAL Europe Programme (DEP) call for proposals in an Info Day and Pitching Event on 12 December 2023. At this event, three new Calls will be presented, followed by Q&A and pitching sessions.
Despite the fast growth of the digital era, just 54% of Europeans have basic digital skills, falling well short of the 80% objective set by the Digital Decade policy initiative. The shortage extends to the cybersecurity industry, where the EU requires 200,000 extra specialists to successfully defend businesses and public services.
To address these challenges, the European Commission is set to open the fifth Call for proposals on Advanced Digital Skills on 21 November to address the digital skills gap and the need for more cybersecurity expertise.
With a total budget of 42 million EUR, the call includes three Open Calls:
- Specialised education programmes in key capacity areas
- Advanced Digital Skills Analysis
- Cybersecurity Skills Academy
Whether you are a representative of a higher education institution, a research or excellence centre, or an innovative business developing digital technologies, this is your chance to learn more about the three open calls, ask questions in the related Q&A sessions, and participate in the pitching sessions for potential applicants.
