The event aimed to enhance understanding of European certification framework, showcase key projects like TEST-CERT-CZ, and facilitate discussions on developing testing and certification capabilities in both the Czech Republic and the European Union.

The conference provided a comprehensive introduction to the European Cybersecurity Certification Framework and the Cybersecurity Act (CSA), including the roles of key stakeholders and the processes involved in the development of certification schemes.

Participants also gained valuable insights into the structure, tasks and services of NCC-CZ and the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC), alongside updates on ongoing projects, including NCC-CZ and TEST-CERT-CZ.

A key focus of the event was the TEST-CERT-CZ project, coordinated by NCC-CZ, which aims to develop robust testing and certification infrastructure in the Czech Republic. During the presentation, the upcoming call for project proposals was announced, set to open in December 2024. This funding initiative will offer financial support to third parties working to strengthen certification capabilities in the Czech Republic.

The conference also featured contributions from Slovak representatives of the National Security Authority, who are coordinating the TestCert-SK project to support cybersecurity certifications in Slovakia. Additionally, the program included a presentation by the Czech Institute for Accreditation (ČIA), providing expert insights into the accreditation processes necessary for conformity assessment in cybersecurity.

As part of the agenda, a panel discussion on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) was held, with active participation from representatives of private companies and the public sector. The discussion provided an engaging platform for exploring the implications of the CRA and its alignment with ongoing certification initiatives.

Overall, the event facilitated collaboration, knowledge exchange, and strategic dialogue, driving progress in cybersecurity certifications and enhancing resilience across the region.
