The networking day of the NCCs will include discussions, on the activity and the structure of the NCC working groups, as well as the overall functioning of the network. It will also provide the occasion for NCCs to exchange on challenges and best practices related to their activities, such as community outreach, financial support to third parties (FSTP) schemes and Digital Europe Programme (DEP) project implementation.
The NCCs network meeting will be followed by the 9th meeting of the ECCC Governing Board on 27-28 June 2024. The Governing Board will discuss ongoing and future implementation of cybersecurity priorities in the DEP, the draft DEP Work Programme for 2025-2027, the progress of ECCC towards its financial autonomy, and adopt decisions on internal governance, including the ECCC Anti-Fraud Strategy and its Security Rules.
The NCCs Network Day and Governing Board meeting are hosted by and jointly organised with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) of Ireland.
Director of the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) Ireland, Dr. Richard Browne, in welcoming the ECCC and the Governing Board to Dublin, stated: “The NCSC is delighted to host the NCC Network and the ECCC Governing Board meetings in Ireland. This provides us with a valuable opportunity to network and engage with our peers throughout the Union as we seek to build up technological capacities, capabilities and skills and increase the global competitiveness of our indigenous cybersecurity industry.”
ECCC Executive Director Luca Tagliaretti said: “We are extremely grateful to our Irish colleagues for hosting the NCC network day and the Governing Board meeting. The ECCC is fully operational and delivering on its mandate, while we need to complete the steps that will lead to our financial autonomy later this year. This week’s meetings will advance the work on our various workstreams and continue the cooperation at all levels to support innovation and industrial policy in cybersecurity.”
