European Cybersecurity Competence Centre and Network: new EU-funded project to support the Cyber Community

On 19 December the European Commission signed a contract of 3M EUR to support the EU “Cyber Community” in the framework of European Cybersecurity Competence Center

On 19 December the European Commission signed a contract of 3M EUR, further to an open call for tenders funded from the DIGITAL Europe programme, to support the EU “Cyber Community” in the framework of European Cybersecurity Competence Center (ECCC) and its Network of National Coordination Centers (NCCs). The awarded project, named ECCO (European Cybersecurity Community) will contribute to EU’s goals on community and capacity building regarding cybersecurity research, innovation, uptake and industrial base. The project will carry out activities to support, coordinate and stimulate the European Cybersecurity Competence Community, while facilitating the interaction of the Community with the network of NCCs and the ECCC.  The project is led by the European Cybersecurity Organisation (ECSO) and features a consortium of 13 cybersecurity public and private stakeholders.
