ECCC Info Day: Side-Event at the Research to Reality Conference

On the 6 February, the ECCC will be hosting an Info Day to present the Digital Europe Work Programme (DEP), along with the newest, and currently open, calls for cybersecurity funding.

ECCC Info Day 6 February 2024

The European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) will be present with a booth on 5 - 6 February at the “Research to Reality” conference, organised by the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and the European Commission. Moreover, at 13:00 on the 6 February, as a side-event to the conference, the ECCC will be hosting an Info Day to present the Digital Europe Work Programme (DEP), along with the newest, and currently open, calls for cybersecurity funding. All registrants to the Conference are welcome to join the ECCC by the Riverside in The Egg to take part of this information.

Join the European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC) for an exclusive in-person Info Day event at The Egg in Brussels, on 6 February 13 – 14, where we will discuss- and inform- on the currently open cybersecurity funding opportunities under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP). This event will take place as a side session of the Research to Reality Conference, organised by the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and the European Commission. Everyone registered at the conference is welcome to gather around the Riverside to take part in the information session while also having lunch. This side-event presents a platform to disseminate crucial information on the latest calls for proposals and provides networking opportunities for the European cybersecurity community.  


Spontaneous pitching opportunities

Along with dissemination of valuable information on the topics of the funding opportunities and how to submit a successful application, this ECCC session, interested participants also have the opportunity to spontaneously pitch their project ideas in front of an audience including the very decision-makers of the allocation of EU funds. The ECCC also welcomes conference attendees to come by the ECCC booth and explore ongoing initiatives, along with the newest open calls for cybersecurity funding under the Digital Europe Programme.
 

Information on the Open Calls 

On 18 December 2023, the European Commission published a series of new calls for proposals for the Digital Europe Programme. A dedicated budget of EUR 84 million is made available for deployment activities supporting novel applications of AI and other enabling technologies for Security Operation Centres, the implementation of cybersecurity EU legislation such as the Cyber Resilience Act, and the European transition to post-quantum cryptography. 

The projects funded by this call will be managed by the ECCC. The calls are open to businesses, SMEs public administrations, and other entities from EU Member States, EFTA/EEA countries, and countries associated with the Digital Europe Programme.

The areas of action are as follows: 

  1. DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-06-ENABLINGTECH - Novel applications of AI and Other Enabling Technologies for Security Operation Centres (EUR 30 million) 
  1. DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-06-STRENGTHENCRA - Strengthening cybersecurity capacities of European SMEs in line with CRA requirements and obligations (EUR 22 million) 
  1. DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-06-SEC-CRATOOLS - Tools for compliance with CRA requirements and obligations (EUR 8 million) 
  1. DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-06-PQCINDUSTRY - Deployment of Post Quantum Cryptography in systems in industrial sectors (EUR 22.25 million) 
  1. DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-06-PQCSTANDARD - Standardisation and awareness of the European transition to post-quantum cryptography (EUR 1 million) 
  1. DIGITAL-ECCC-2024-DEPLOY-CYBER-06-PQCTRANS - Roadmap for the transition of European public administrations to a post-quantum cryptography era (EUR 750k) 


Proposals can be submitted from 16 January 2024 until 26 March 2024 at 17:00 Brussels time.
