The Security Research Event (SRE) 2023 will be organised in Brussels, Belgium, on 24 – 25 October 2023.

The Security Research Event (SRE) 2023 will be organised in Brussels, Belgium, on 24 – 25 October 2023.

The SRE is an annual event gathering of policymakers, business professionals and academic institutions to talk about the current state of affairs and present difficulties facing security research in Europe. This year, with its title “Societal transformations, climate change and digitalisation – a new paradigm of Security Research?”, the event will focus on issues brought on by global megatrends that are changing the landscape of security in the EU.

Attendees can expect a conference as well as an exhibition space. The conference will include keynote speeches, a high-level roundtable and panels on the future of security research. On the other hand, the exhibition will include over 50 booths presenting not only selected security research projects funded by the EU programmes but also activities of the European Commission, EU agencies and the national security research activities of Spain and Sweden.

The ECCC will have its own booth as part of the exhibition, inviting attendees to stop by and learn about the numerous initiatives and projects of the ECCC.

Registrations are open until 16 October. For more information, please see the event website: https://www.securityresearchevent.eu/
